Hi friends!!

To get straight to the point – this blog is just simply to ask for a lot of prayer for my squad.

This past month has been the craziest month dealing with a lot of Covid complications. Many people on our squad have tested positive meaning that many people have also been exposed, which means a lot of quarantining in order to honor those around us and keep everyone as healthy as possible. Our leadership has done an incredible job with doing their best to handle this situation and follow Covid protocols, but unfortunately it’s continued to spread throughout our squad even with our best efforts. We were supposed to fly out to South Africa this past week – but because of the situation we haven’t all been able to leave yet.

I just wanted to post this to ask for prayer for health. This has been a situation that has required a lot of logistical work, a lot of flexibility, and a lot of attitude checks on the daily for us all. It’s been stressful. It’s required a lot of maturity to lay down expectations and roll with the reality of our situation. It’s required a lot out of our leadership and for that I’m really thankful for the people who are fighting for our squad behind the scenes. All in all though, this past month has really taken its toll on each of us in different ways.. physically, mentally or spiritually.

We don’t know what exactly is next at this point, as we kind just take it day by day. BUT prayers for health and a spirit of endurance over our squad would be soooo appreciated. At this point we have a little over 4 months left which is CRAZYYYY! Prayers that we would be able to find rest in this crazy season and that these last few months would really be a testament to the Lord’s provision over our squad, wherever He takes us. We’ve just got to get over this hump !!!!

Thanks friends and family for all the support, always. We are currently in Honduras quarantining at a hotel just waiting things out and taking it a day at a time. I’ve been soaking in all the AC, all the nice warm showers, all the coffee, and time alone to recharge and get ready for what’s next. I have a little checklist for myself everyday to help keep me sane – and it’s:

  • Order a fun coffee
  • Talk to at least one person from home
  • Do an at home YouTube workout
  • Get creative and have some extra prayer time
  • Sit outside

So far I’ve been able to check each one every day! Woooo! This is what is keeping me going and recharging my soul. Thanks Jesus for the extra time to do just that!

I will do my best to keep you all in the loop when I can!

Much love,

Heather
